Book List

There is no one book, or indeed one book-list, that incorporates the whole of the MCEM B syllabus. Despite this slightly depressing fact, these are the books we feel are most important in helping you prepare adequately for the examination. It should be noted however that they should be used in conjunction with the resources listed elsewhere on this site. The upcoming MCEM B Revision textbook is being edited by 3 members of our faculty, Matthew Hall, Sam Thenabadu and Chet trivedy and once published will be a valuable addition to those listed below.

Oxford Handbook of Emergency Medicine

Oxford Handbook of Acute Medicine

Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine

Oxford Handbook of Clinical Specialites

ABC of Eyes (ABC Series) by Peng T. Khaw, Peter Shah, and Andrew R. Elkington

ECGs for the Emergency Physician 1: Level 1 by Amal Mattu and William J. Brady

Advanced Life Support Manual

Advanced Trauma life Support Manual

Advanced Paediatric Life Support Manual
