We ran our first MCEM Part A course in India 21-22 Nov 2011 in conjunction with Prof Tamorish Kole in New Delhi. We had a really successful course with 22 candidates, and plan to do this regularly.
This webpage is specifically intended for doctors working in Asia (particularly India) who are preparing for the examination for Membership of the College of Emergency Medicine (UK) MCEM.
This examination now forms part of the certification process for independent autonomous practise as an emergency physician in the UK. This exam has been well constructed to test the skills needed to be an effective emergency physician. It is a tough exam and has already developed a strong reputation in the UK. For the last few years it has been a compulsory part of training for new emergency medicine trainees .
There has been a growing international interest in this exam, and examination centres have been established in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Egypt.
For further details on the exam, please follow the College of Emergency Medicine link below, and click on the exams tab.
The curriculum for the exam can also be found on the College website.
The team at Bromley Emergency Courses have been interested in bringing our training courses to India for the last two years, and finally succeeded in doing so in November 2011.
We are intending to return for our next course in November 2012 in New Delhi.
In the meantime we intend to add further material to this website over the coming months.
